RhymeZone
I’m suggesting one another amazing tool at the intersection of art and technology: RhymeZone.
It is basically is a ryming dictionary we can share with our students as a reference tool for writing poetry. When we type a word in the search engine, it gives us a bunch of similar-sounding words in the dictionary.
Doodle
If we are looking for a common time slot to get together with your students, Doodle would help us to find the best time to meet.
On the website we can create our doodle by typing the name and location of the event. And we can add a note for the participants to see when they get the invitations. In the next step, this scheduling tool asks us to add your potential time options so that participants can vote for the most suitable one. Finally, we can send invitations either through email or sharing the link.
Telegra.ph
Telegra.ph is a very practical tool we can use to get our students had the blog writing experience. To create their anonymous blog, students should first go to the website, next create their page by adding text, photos and videos, and then publish it.
As it doesn’t require registration, the only way to keep the page is through the link. So students should share the link with us so that we can check their amazing work.
*Pen.io can be an alternative.
Keep Calm O Matic
You can simply create motivational posters on Keep Calm O Matic like the popular “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster produced by British government at the times of II. World War.

Unitag
We all might have experience with QR codes from our daily lives to our classrooms. What about bringing some color to our classroom through Unitag?
Different from the other QR code generators, Unitag allows customization. We can create our QR codes by choosing the template we want and personalizing it. Then, we can download it. However, it is very important to test it by using a QR code reader. If we are sure that it’s readable, it is time to share it.
Toasted Cheese
If you are looking for a prompt for everyday writing practice, Toasted Cheese is a tool you should check out!
You can even create “1 month challenge” with your students to help them improve their writing skills.
PicLits
PicLits is a wonderful tool to incorporate into our lessons or encourage our students to practice writing outside class in a creative way.
It is usually a challenge for my students to come up with a wide range of level words while writing. This fun tool provides inspiration through a photo and a bunch of relevant vocabulary for students to describe it.
I would love to hear your comments when you use it with your students!
YouGlish
You should definitely introduce YouGlish to your students if you haven’t yet. It is an amazing pronunciation dictionary! YouGlish illustrates the pronunciation of the word in context through a youtube video in which the word is pronounced.
As you might have noticed, the most commonly used English- Turkish online dictionary also has Youglish.
