Pixton

Pixton is a fun tool providing premade backgrounds and characters to create our own comics strips. Even if it offers an online classroom for educators, my experience using it hasn’t gone beyond the Pixton classic yet. I sometimes create comics by myself to use them in my class to grab students’ attention. However, Pixton makes the learning environment very engaging when students collaborate to create their comics mostly at the production stage of a lesson. We can ask our students to create comics in groups or with a partner on the theme of the unit covered that week. Alternatively, asking them to incorporate some newly learned  words or grammar subjects would give them opportunity to practice the language in a creative and enjoyable way. What they only need is either their phones or computers as well as their creativity!

It is worth to note that students find it very encouraging  their creative work to be displayed  in class when they shared them through email.

I leave some examples below.
